African Music Concerts Week of Aug 15 - Aug 21

This month is a treat at the Temple, with a second concert celebrating the sounds of Afrobeat. I have yet to get out and see this local band, but they pop up now and then to make their mark on the funk and beat music of Fela. After last month's Antibalas show, it will be possible to gauge the local talent relative to other American incarnations of this early 70's music.
