African Music Concerts Week of Apr 1 - Apr 2

Wed, Mar 23 - Sat, Apr 30 The stageplay "Yellowman"

Come out to see the Pulitzer nominated play about Black-on-Black discrimination in the Gullah-Geechee culture of South Carolina's Sea Islands. The play investigates the racism that favors lighter skinned individuals over their more African looking neighbors. Love, alcohol, generational chasms and other complexities of everyday life are intricately wound into a heart-wrenching story. Highly recommended. Now extended through April 30!

The Fountain Theatre 8PM; 2PM Sunday $25

Local fave Ricardo is back at his home stomping grounds with Congolese Rumba and Cuban Son. He will be back twice in May as well. Salsa lovers flock here because of the big dance floor.

Conga Room 10PM $15
