This is a show of Portuguese influenced talents. Ricardo Lemvo is of Angolan descent although he was born in Congo and grew up in Los Angeles. Maria de Barros sings all forms of Cape Verdean music. Waldemar Bastos is one of the most travelled and well known Angolan singers. Together, they will provide an evening of wonderful melodies. You must make reservations ahead of time to see this show. The phones open on February 21 at 9:00AM. Be sure to call early as shows at the Getty always sell out. The reservation number is (310) 440-7300. A repeat performance of Saturday, March 1. Eva is known as the Queen of Landó, a very danceable Peruvian style of music. The acoustics at Disney are supposed to be the best in town. This music is very subtle and melodic, so the venue will definitely enhance her performance. Angelique is from Benin, but has become world renown after moving to New York and blending her African styles with more commercial genres. She is always an energetic dancer, a soaring singer and an inspiring performer. Peru Negro are the cultural ambassadors of African music from Peru. Their tunes blend the old African style with a more Latin sound of the Peruvian native music. | ||
