Richard Bona of Cameroon stages a stunning display of virtuosic jazz for the April edition of West African Wednesdays.

Although Richard has only one CD released, he has been playing regularly at jazz clubs in NY and has enough material to release several more CDs. His live performances showcase a variety of skills from electric bass, acoustic guitar, acappella singing, and scatting, to mbira (thumb organ) and more.

Richard does not come to Los Angeles often. He performed at the Playboy Jazz Festival last year and the Conga Room the year before. Given his musical style, the Atlas is the best place to see him perform.
