Each of five hosts have a different morning show on KPFK where they make their own playlist selections. Monday (Betto Arcos) and Tuesday (Simeon Pillich) are the best for African music, with Wednesday (Yatrica Shah-Rais) slanted more to the Middle Eastern and North African sounds and Friday (Sergio Mielniczenko) all Brazilian. Whenever there is a concert in town, one of the shows will interview the performer, so this is the best place to here a sample before deciding to go to a show.
