The El Rey has the best marquee and facade in town. Inside is just as nice with a large sunken dance floor and seating around it that can actually see the stage. Only the House of Blues has more capacity.

Ticketing is the responsibility of the promoter, so there is no box office or early tickets through the venue. Very few African concerts sell out here, so you can probably get a ticket at the door, but bigger names will draw a crowd (a recent popular performance by Lee "Scratch" Perry from Jamaica left me at the door ticketless).
