Le Tusker used to be the best DJ Club spinning for a decent-sized regular
following. Run by a couple of Kenyans, and yes, even featuring Tusker beer,
the club is in the basement of an office building. It recently converted to
a reggae format on Saturdays, but has an occasional live performance by
Dodo Munoko and La Rumba. These are
worth going to because you never know who will show up -- last time the drummer
from the Soukous Stars jumped onstage,
several dancers from
Prince Eyango's band wiggled their wares, and
Andre Manga even stopped by after his gig.
