HipLife is a cross between Hip-Hop and Highlife that is spreading in Ghana. A.B. Crentsil was one of the central practitioners of Highlife in the 60's. He is joined today by Obour to reprise one of his hits, Adwua, done in the modern mixed media style of HipLife. Give a listen and see whether you think this new sound is going to stick around. Eyango became as popular as Michael Jackson in his home country of Cameroon a long time ago. He has since self- produced many albums, but also has helped aspiring young artists from Cameroon start their careers. He is now concentrating on his own career once again.
