July Concerts

There are a lot of shows this month, starting the first week off with a bang. The Lost Boys of Sudan play at Skirball, then Kékélé downtown. The show I am most looking forward to is in 2 weeks at the Skirball. Two nights: first a movie about the group and then a live performance by The Refugee All Stars of Sierra Leone.

July Reviews

I added a new page this month to review two movies and a new CD. Read up on Femi Kuti's "Live at the Shrine", the South Central dance craze movie "Rize" and Ashley Maher's new CD "Flying Over Bridges".

If you see me at a show it will one of the earlier ones that are more family friendly. Kékélé and the All Stars fit the bill very nicely.
